So what else do we have to look forward to? Well, there are still a couple of weeks left of 2015, followed by all of 2016 and there are plenty of devices left to keep an eye out for.

We have included devices that have been announced but are not yet available to buy, as well as a few rumoured timepieces for good measure.

Breitling B55 Connected
Breitling B55 Connected

The Breitling B55 Connected is a replica watches of sorts that is targeted at pilots, some of the company’s main clientele, and it connects to an Android or iOS app on your device via Bluetooth.

The app will enable you to change time zones and therefore alter the digital display and analogue hands on the watch, as well as set alarms and sync to your phone. It won’t track your steps or display your messages, but flights can be timed using the buttons and the app will back up the data collected by the watch to allow for sharing and logging.

Pricing and availability for the Breitling B55 Connected have yet to be shared but we will keep you updated when we learn more.

Gucci and will.i.am smartband
Gucci and will.i.am smartband

Gucci and will.i.am collaborated to announce a fashion smartband at Baselworld 2015, which has been in the making since 2011. The smartband is a standalone device, like will.i.am’s Puls that was announced a few months before and the Gucci offering appears to be a fashionable version of it.

It is 3G enabled, voice controlled and it will come with a front-facing camera, along with a heart rate monitor, temperature sensor and GPS. Battery life wasn’t mentioned but if it follows the same path as the Puls, it might be built into the strap.

The Gucci will.i.am smartband will be able to make and receive calls, texts and emails, as well as store music, maps, calendars and track your activity. No pricing or release date information has been provided yet but we will update this feature when we know more.

Bulgari Diagono Magnesium
Bulgari Diagono Magnesium

The Bulgari Diagono Magnesium concept was revealed at Baselworld 2015 and it is claimed to be a luxury timepiece “completely opposite” from other “so-called” connected watches. The company says it is 100 per cent Swiss and NFC-enabled.

The Diagono Magnesium was described as a self-winding, mechanical replica watches that apparently works with a protected electronic passport called Luxury Wrist Vault. The passport app is said to have a range of possibilities including making payments, logging in securely to a digital community, opening doors and starting your car engine.

Pricing, specs and a release date have yet to be detailed so whether we will see it this year or not is still to be confirmed.

Watch manufacturer Fossil to acquire fitness wearable company Misfit

BreitlingReplica Watches and wearables have enjoyed a significant amount of attention over the past couple of years. With the advent of sensors on wearable devices, and prices continuing to fall, the adoption of wearable devices has risen phenomenally.

Last month, Swiss luxury watchmaker Frederique Constant launched its range of smartwatches in India. Priced at Rs 60,000 and more, sales of the horological smartwatch, as it is called, were expected to be quite sedate.

Similarly, TAG Heuer, Breitling and several other watch manufacturers have indicated that they would be looking at the smartwatch space very closely.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the Fossil Group has agreed to buy wearable fitness tracker company Misfit for $260 million. Misfit is cofounded by ex-Apple CEO John Sculley.

Since the advent of Xiaomi and companies such as Micromax in the fitness band business, a watchmaker such as Fossil would see immense potential in a wearable with a focus on style, something that Misfit focusses on. Interestingly, Xiaomi invested in Misfit last December.

Certainly, luxury Rolex replica watches would keep an eye out for startups in the fitness wearable space that make lucrative and strategic acquisitions. The capability to offer fitness data makes it a natural extension for a watchmaker.

Breitling Watches“To me it’s not about the value of the sale, it’s about making sure that the client goes away with a treasured item that has been associated with a significant occasion in their life.”

Stephen has worked in the jewellery trade for 27 years after moving straight into it when he left school.

He said: “When I finished I was not sure what I wanted to do and saw a role working for Zales jewellers and thought that looked interesting. I have not looked back since.”

The Canary Wharf store had a revamp in September, showcasing new dedicated branded areas for Omega, Breitling and TAG Heuer.

Omega watchesWe got three facts about Omega.

1. Omega was in fact the first mechanical watch to land on the moon – with the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch in 1969. A year later the same watch played a significant part in helping the astronauts on the Apollo 13 mission return to Earth safely after the shuttle encountered some unforeseen problems.

2. Omega Replica has had a strong affiliation with the James Bond franchise since 1995. The latest piece was sported by Daniel Craig in Spectre. It’s the Seamaster 300 Master Co Axial.

3. The brand is also well known in the world of sport, as they have been timing the Olympics since 1932.
